Script & Lyrics by Patricia W. Elliott

Musical Score by Patrick Johnston
Directed by Kris Duek

Lean is a management system derived from the Toyota Production System, created by Toyota executives between 1948 and 1975 as a way to ‘design out’ waste and inconsistencies on the factory floor. Borrowing from the corporate sector, Lean principles are now applied to our hospitals, schools and other public services.

Lean: The Measurably Efficient Musical invites us into a classroom, where a boisterous and highly inefficient group of kids challenge administrators who want to measure and redirect their energy toward “Time On Task.” When recess gets cancelled, will the kids prevail? And will the Lean consultants find true love?
